WKMCS Membership
At The Annual General Meeting on 4 October 2024, it was agreed by the members present to change the admission criteria for membership of the Society. This has been changed to:
“Ordinary Members shall be registered or retired medical practitioners or members of a UK registered healthcare profession as defined by the Professional Qualifications Act 2022 and any amendment or replacement thereof.”
The Council has agreed a new simpler and quicker protocol for the admission of new members:
1. New members to be admitted to membership as soon as their application, supported by two members, with their standing order, are received.
2. Abolish the voting system for new members.
3. The admission of the new member will therefore be announced by the President at the first meeting after the new member has joined.
If you would like to discuss joining the Society please contact Jean Parker via the form at the bottom of this page.
